Let's Yoga Primark!



So I got another wonderful invitation from Primark (thank you Primark eheh) however this time, instead of sweating, the aim was to stretch! (after an 8 hour flight and a monstrous jet-lag, this was going to be interesting). I have always incorporated Yoga into my life ever since I fell in love with it in L.A 2013, while I was shooting the show "Exit Vine" for Redbull. It has always been such a peaceful release of mine where I could really let go and enjoy the inner conversations with myself. (This sounds really weird I know but once you really try Yoga and let a little meditation slip in...it's quite liberating! Anyways, im straying off topic sorry! So as I was saying... Primark invited me to try out one of Yoga's Modalities - Aerial Yoga!
I went to the Yoga studios feeling adventurous and courageous. I confess I was looking the part wearing my new comfy/stretchy clothes from Primark, (which of course helped the ego ahah) but I was also surrounded by such a cool team of people which helped me relax all my pre-"aerial" jitters. As it was also the first time for Isabel Silva and Anita Costa, I felt like the pressure had also been lifted... we were all so excited to just start! We all started by mixing our hands with resin, which allowed our hands to "grip" the rope better (believe me it works!). At first we began stretching and executing many original positions of yoga that I was already familiar with (Downward-Facing Dog, Sun salutation etc..) This was just us easing in ahah The rest of the exercises really forced you to concentrate and feel your muscles one stretch at a time. It was probably the first time that I exerted a couple of muscles in my body that I didn't realise I had. Throughout the lesson with Rui Oliveira Costa, I really enjoyed being able to experiment different positions whilst always being in "synch" with my mind. Its not easy to explain but its as if, during aerial Yoga, you get to defy your body and watch it respect your wishes whilst you stretch your way into new and exciting "shapes" eheh. I've got to say that i really enjoyed this experience and am anxiously awaiting my next Primark Challenge! Have you tried Aerial Yoga? What do you think of the positions I made? O Yoga entrou na minha vida em 2013, quando estive em LA a gravar a série “Exit Vine” para a Redbull, e desde aí que continuo rendida. Sempre foi uma forma tranquila de me libertar de mim onde eu posso realmente deixar-me ir e desfrutar de conversas comigo mesma (isto soa um pouco estranho, eu sei, mas se experimentarem Yoga e deixarem fluir um pouco a meditação verão que é meeesmo muito libertador!). De qualquer forma, eu estou a fugir ao tópico deste post, desculpem! Como eu estava a dizer... A Primark convidou-me para experimentar uma das modalidades do Yoga - o Yoga Suspenso!
Fui para a aula de Yoga a sentir-me uma aventureira e corajosa ahah! Estava um pouco nervosa, mas estive rodeada por uma boa equipa de pessoas que me ajudaram a relaxar de todo o nervosismo que estava a sentir. Como também era a primeira vez da Isabel Silva e da Anita Costa, senti que a pressão nelas também estava elevada...estávamos todas ansiosas para começar! Começamos por colocar resina nas mãos, para que elas "agarrassem" melhor a corda (acreditem que resulta!). Depois, por alongar e executar algumas posições originais do yoga que eu já estava familiarizada (Downward-Facing Dog, Sun salutation, etc..), e isto foi apenas o mais fácil ahah!! O resto dos exercícios exigiam que estivéssemos concentradas e a sentir os nossos músculos a alongarem um de cada vez. Provavelmente foi a primeira vez que eu exercitei um conjunto de músculos que nem sequer fazia ideia que existiam! Ao longo da aula com o Rui Oliveira Costa, gostei imenso de experimentar posições diferentes enquanto estava em "sincronia" com a minha mente. Não é fácil explicar, mas é como se, durante o Yoga suspenso, vocês começassem a desafiar o vosso corpo e o vissem a realizar os vossos desejos enquanto alongam para novas "formas" ehehe. Tenho a dizer que gostei muito da experiência e estou ansiosamente à espera do próximo desafio da Primark! Já experimentaram Yoga suspenso? O que acharam das posições que fiz? Achei o desafio super interessante o desafio, e o yoga era algo que eu adorava experimentar, precisamente por achar que é um atividade que pode ser extremamente libertadora e que nos deve trazer uma paz de espírito incrível!!! No entanto, o yoga suspenso parece assustar um pouco, só por causa de estarem suspensas no ar e presas nas “cordas”! Mas aventureira como sou, de certeza que isso ia ser ultrapassado! Ahahah Adorei as posições e os insta stories que foste fazendo nesse dia! Um beijinho enorme <3

  3. Estas iniciativas da Primark estão super giras e inovadoras, é uma forma de se divertirem e de mostrarem às pessoas as novas peças que, sinceramente, estão muitooo giras (adorei o teu topppp)!
    Eu gostei imenso das fotos e estou espantada com as posições que fizeste que, por muito que tenham sido simples ou mais complexas, para mim são "todas iguais" e eu admiro qualquer uma! Aprecio imenso o teu espírito e a tua maneira de ser, estás sempre pronta para receber coisas novas e aberta a novas experiências! Eu sou a real medricas e insegura que pensa mil vezes em tudo antes de fazer, muitas vezes acabo mesmo por não me soltar e não me abrir a novas coisas porque penso sempre com 20 passos à frente (e, por norma, sempre negativos), o que acaba por me prejudicar porque sinto sempre um stress, uma pressão e uma incapacidade em fazer as coisas enormes...! Quem me dera ser mais como tu e ter esse espírito!

  4. Adoro as fotos, o Yoga Suspenso parece ser uma experiência incrível. Admito que fiquei com vontade de experimentar esta modalidade, nunca fiz qualquer tipo de Yoga mas sem dúvida que este post me despertou para a necessidade de nos libertarmos dos nossos problemas.
